International Summer Programme
British Culture, Language, and Society, 1800-present
18 August - 16 September 2016
Lancaster University has a well established summer programme that can be taken as a stand-alone programme or prior to study at Lancaster or another British university.
The programme is conducted by the Department of Linguistics and English Language in collaboration with the Department of English Literature and Creative Writing and the Department of History.
It is taught over four weeks, and provides an opportunity to experience life at a British University while learning about the history and culture of the UK, and specifically the North-West of England.
As well as experiencing lectures by renowned academics, students will be able to discuss the course topics in small seminar groups and go on field trips to relevant sites in the North-West of England each week.
