What Former Students Say
Below are a selection of comments from previous International Summer Programme students to give you an idea of what it is like to come and study with us.
Amazing experience, I learned a lot about British culture. Great way to get introduced to Lancaster, great way to meet new people, awesome organised trips.
The social events have been a blast! From learning how to play cricket to battling it out in the Pub Quiz, it has really helped ease the transition from American to British life.
It’s great to be here early to get used to the school and city. I love the field trips and being able to do things that we talk about in class.
I liked the course because being in a small group and taking a course prior to Michaelmas made me feel so much more confident about going into the Michaelmas term.
It is a good transition, both in academics and into English culture.
I had a lot of fun on the course and I’m glad I had a chance to get situated on campus before the term officially starts.
Extremely helpful in easing into life here, in respect to knowing the city, the campus, and making friends before the term starts
I really enjoyed the screening [of North and South] and ended up watching the rest on my own - I had to see what happened!
The field trips are a great way to connect the lectures and seminars to what we are learning about and see it all first hand.
The Castle tour was very awesome, I think I want to go back for their Halloween ghost tour as well!
Being able to physically see what we are talking about in class gives me more perspective on the history of this nation.
