LUMS hardship fund

Financial assistance for Management School students

We believe that no student should be forced to abandon their education at Lancaster through financial difficulty.

For most students, winning a place at Lancaster on their chosen course is a significant achievement. In their university years, they expect to learn their chosen subject to a high standard and stretch themselves to pass their exams and graduate with flying colours. However, some students run into additional challenges. The LUMS Hardship Fund has been established through generous gifts from friends of Lancaster University, and we invite additional donations and legacies, so that we can support these students.

About the fund

The LUMS Hardship Fund is a way for donors to offer financial assistance to Management School students whose personal or financial situation may otherwise prevent them from continuing their degree programme. It is a powerful source of funds to allow such individuals to complete their studies, delivered at a time when they need it most.

The LUMS Hardship Fund is designed to offer supplementary income in exceptional circumstances. However, the more money we can raise for the fund, the more students we will be able to help. We anticipate that many more students will be hard-pressed to fund themselves through their courses in the future.
