Connecting with LUMS students
Employer drop-in days
Take centre stage for the day. We invite you to erect a small promotional stand in a large open area located in the Management School and close to the LUMS Career Zone. Students can drop-in or sign up for a one-to-one appointment.
Presentation to all students
Whether you want to promote your company or talk to students about particular job roles or sectors, we are happy to tailor the presentation to your needs, organise a venue and advertise the talk to our students. We are also able to liaise with course directors regarding involvement in a timetabled session or project if this is something you are interested in.
We deliver numerous skills workshops as described in our brochure and we are always happy to have graduate employers join in. Additionally, if you have any skills sessions in place that you would like to deliver, we are more than happy to organise this for you. We also invite employers to deliver mock assessment centres and mock interview sessions as part of the curriculum. Do let us know if you are interested in getting involved.
Work experience fair (internships, placements and projects)
This event is an opportunity for our students to engage with top employers and gain a clear insight into the range of internship and placement opportunities on offer. We hope the event will also give the students an insight into the application process as well as providing them with invaluable tips on how to secure the placement they want and the deadlines they should be aware of when making applications. This event runs in early October each year. Please email Natalie Redfern for a booking form.
Speed networking event (aimed at final-year undergraduates)
Not quite speed-dating but every bit as fun! A chance for students to put their questions to top graduate employer representatives, take part in a quiz and network over refreshments. This event runs in late October each year. Please email Natalie Redfern for a booking form.
Meet the employer event
This event is designed to raise students’ awareness of graduate employers. All students are encouraged to attend but it is targeted specifically towards first-year students. Please let us know if you would like to attend and an official invite and booking forms will be sent accordingly. This event runs in February each year. Please email Natalie Redfern for a booking form.
