PhD activity

The Department of Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation has a large and active cohort of entrepreneurship and strategy PhD students on the cross-disciplinary PhD in Management programme. Their research builds on the department's research interests and they form an integral part of our research community.

Within Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation we are always happy to receive applications from well-qualified applicants interested in studying for a PhD on a full or part-time basis, and aim to provide helpful guidance to students in the development of their work. Part-time applicants must demonstrate how they will provide the time and resources to complete their PhD, and if successful will be expected to visit Lancaster on a regular basis for supervision and training.

We are able to supervise projects involving diverse topics and methods. Each PhD student is typically supervised by at least two members of staff. If we receive interesting applications which do not fit our core interests, we may involve additional supervisors with the necessary skillset. For further details of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation research interests, see research themes and the profiles of our PhD supervisors.
