Join us at the Marketing Pavilion

“What is marketing?”

Marketing is about more than advertising and branding. It’s about understanding customer needs and working with businesses, governments, non-profits & other organisations to fulfill them. Marketing researchers look into understanding differences in consumer behaviours, from bottom of the pyramid (world’s poorest markets) to families and young consumers, focusing on diverse consumption objects such as food, music, sacred objects, and clothing. We also analyze algorithms’ role in markets, new product development, business deals and sustainability, and the formation, functioning and evolution of markets in different areas such as healthcare, tourism,  and finance.

At Lancaster we educate, research and engage with businesses and policymakers in unexpected and innovative ways. Established as the first Marketing Department in the UK, Lancaster has an unrivalled heritage in Marketing.  Come along to the Marketing Department pavilion for a showcase of our research, teaching and practice. This is an opportunity to discuss what matters to you as a consumer or company in a global and inter-connected business landscape.
