Many congratulations to the Accounting and Finance class of 2012/13 who graduated with a Masters degree this week.

The Ceremony was held in the Great Hall on Wednesday 11 December, with a celebratory lunch in the Management School afterwards for staff and students.

Special congratulations go to our MRes Accounting and Financial Management graduate Zhifang Zhang, who was awarded the Chancellor’s Medal for the highest overall mark in LUMS. The Medal is awarded annually to the most meritorious students to mark Princess Alexandra’s 40 years’ service as Chancellor of the University. Zhifang has previously been awarded the Chancellor’s Medal for her undergraduate studies in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster.

Professor Steve Young, Director of the Masters Programmes for Accounting and Finance 2012/13 and current Head of Department, said, “Zhifang was an outstanding student and made a really positive contribution to the class. We’re delighted that she has won her second Chancellor’s Medal – it’s richly deserved.”

Zhifang was also awarded two prizes by the Department, for Best Overall Performance on the MRes programme and for Best MRes Dissertation. Zhifang is now studying for a PhD in Accounting and Finance at LUMS.

We wish Zhifang and each of our graduates a successful and happy future.
