Profile

Vasso Ioannidou is a Professor of Finance at the Department of Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University and a research fellow at the European Banking Center (EBC) at Tilburg University. Her research covers topics related to the transmission mechanism of monetary policy, prudential regulation and supervision of banks, and topics related to the effects of asymmetric information in bank-firm lending relationships. Her work has been published in top and very good finance and economics journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, and the Journal of International Economics and has been presented in leading international conferences such as the meetings of the American Economic and Finance Associations, the Financial Intermediation Research Society, and the NBER Summer Institute. She holds a PhD in Economics from Boston College.
