I chose to study at LUMS as I had received positive recommendations from alumni and the Accounting and Finance Department is one of the best in the UK. I really enjoyed learning many useful skills during the programme and talking with my lecturers about my research ideas. After graduating, I enrolled for a PhD at LUMS.

Apart from the immense prestige of LUMS’s academic excellence and its top-ranked position in Europe and worldwide, Lancaster’s fascinating historic origins and the vibrant city itself contributed to my decision to study here. I enjoyed the multiple opportunities I was given to learn how to work with people from different backgrounds and cultures. Both professors and staff members impressed me with their ability to answer all my questions and concerns. I am confident that this Masters programme has provided me with the knowledge required to make me stand out from the crowd.

I chose LUMS because it has achieved a tremendous success despite being a relatively young university and provides a great study environment that allows you to focus and prosper. I especially enjoyed the challenging assignments and great lectures. During the course of my studies, I have been at four universities in four different countries in and outside Europe and I can say without a moment of doubt that Lancaster is the best!

MSc Accounting and Financial Management

Having studied a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, I considered the MSc Accounting and Financial Management to be a great supplementary subject. It is an intensive programme, but it certainly enriched my knowledge and helped to lay a solid academic foundation for my future. Studying at Lancaster taught me to have a more positive attitude towards my studies and my personal life. After graduation I plan to pursue a job related to accounting and finance back in China.
