I chose to study at LUMS because a master’s programme like this is very difficult to find at other universities. It had an excellent and rich variety of modules related to my interests, including cooperation with IBM and a two-month consultancy-based project. Also, a combination of management and computing topics made the exchange of ideas and collaboration among my colleagues more interesting. My plans after graduating involve pursuing a career in digital marketing, consultancy or project/event management.

After deciding what kind of programme I wanted to study and searching some universities, I chose LUMS as it showed the best fit for what I was looking for. What caught my attention was the content of the programme and the methodology with which it was taught. I really enjoyed the opportunity to learn from classmates with very different backgrounds as well as from some very recognised lecturers in their fields.

I chose the Management School primarily because of its good ranking and the positive opinions I received when talking to friends who have studied here. Aside from the international experience, I was really pleased with the lectures quality and the balance between theoretical and practical knowledge we were presented with. Surely, of all the things this year has given me, I will miss the moments shared with my close friends the most.

The programme optimised my chances of career progression and allowed me to become a knowledgeable IT professional because the course is taught by experts in the field. What was particularly interesting for me was the exploration of different innovations and the use of theoretical frameworks. I particularly enjoyed the IBM workshop because it gave me the opportunity to appreciate some challenges around IT architecture. I secured a graduate position in Amey, where I will work in Madrid for six months and then come back to the UK.

Before starting the MSc programme, I also completed a pre-sessional English course offered by the university. I am now employed as an information risk analyst by JP Morgan Chase in New York.

I completed my undergraduate degree at LUMS and knew it lived up to its stellar reputation, which is why I extended my studies to Masters level. The programme was well structured and the material was new and intriguing. I especially enjoyed spending three days under the guidance of IBM employees.
