For 2016 entry, the tuition fees for the six pathway variants of MSc International Innovation are listed below.

Telecommunications, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Engineering and Design:

  • UK and EU students: £9,100 (GBP)
  • Non-EU students: £20,800 (GBP)

  • UK and EU students: £13,300 (GBP)
  • Non-EU students: £20,800 (GBP)

The tuition fee includes:

  • registration
  • all tuition for the 24 months
  • all examination costs
  • graduation

If you accept a place on the programme, you will be asked to pay a deposit to secure your place. The deposit is then deducted from your tuition fees which you pay when you start the programme. It is not normally refundable if you change your mind about coming to Lancaster, but is refundable if you do not meet any conditions attached to the offer.

For new students entering in 2016-17, we guarantee that your course tuition fees will not rise by more than 4% per annum over the standard time required to complete your scheme of study.

Payment of fees

Fees are payable on registration at the start of the programme. It is also possible to spread your fee payments over two instalments: in October and January.

Living costs

Fortunately Lancaster is a cheaper place to live in than many other larger cities in the UK. For estimated costs of what you may need to budget to cover food, accommodation, books and other items, see the general guidance on living costs for postgraduate students.

If you are considering bringing dependants with you, the costs are likely to be higher: guidance on this is available from the LUMS Postgraduate Admissions Office.

Please note: The Michaelmas and Lent terms of Year 2 will be spent on placement in Guangdong Province, China. Living costs in China are generally lower than those in the UK. There will be Lancaster University staff based in Guangzhou to support your placement.

Bursary: All students accepted on to the programme will be awarded a bursary of £16,000 towards living costs – see the funding page for further information.
