Funding and scholarships
Various forms of funding are available to help students on the MSc International Innovation: including programme bursary and scholarships.
Programme bursary for all students
The MSc International Innovation is closely aligned to the £5.1m Lancaster China Catalyst Programme, therefore for 2016 entry we are be able to provide 35 students on this Masters programme a £16,000 tax-free bursary over the two years to help with living costs.
This funding is provided through the HEFCE Catalyst Fund, the key partner in the Lancaster China Catalyst Programme. Tuition fees still apply.
The bursary will be distributed through instalments over the duration of the programme to assist with living expenses. £8,000 of the bursary will be given out in Year 1 and the same amount in Year 2.
Postgraduate Loan Scheme
In November 2015 the UK Government confirmed that a new postgraduate loan scheme will be introduced for students commencing Masters courses in the 2016/17 academic year.
Non means-tested loans of up to £10,000 will be made available to students applying to taught and research Masters courses. PhD students will be funded through a separate scheme.
For more information, go to the main Lancaster University page.
In addition to the bursary, we are able to offer a number of scholarships to those entering the programme in 2016, and those who are awarded a scholarship will have this deducted from their tuition fees when they register on the programme.
If you wish to be considered for a scholarship, please submit a written statement of no more than 500 words (using this form), detailing why you feel you should be considered for a scholarship for this programme, to email@example.com with the subject line MSc International Innovation Scholarship no later than 2nd May 2016.
