Double Masters with Universidade Católica Portuguesa

Outstanding students on MSc Management, MSc Advanced Marketing Management and MSc Finance at LUMS have the opportunity to study at Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics in Portugal and gain a second Masters degree from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics is regarded as Portugal's top business school. It has a very strong reputation internationally for its research and teaching, and was the first business school in Portugal to achieve triple accreditation from EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB.

Entry to this Double Masters scheme is highly competitive. There are ten places available each year: students will be selected on merit, based on their academic performance during the first term at LUMS (a minimum of 65% across all modules will be needed) and an interview with Católica-Lisbon academics.

Timings and practical details

If selected for this programme you will have to submit your LUMS dissertation by the end of August so that you can start your study in Portugal at the beginning of September. The semester runs through to February.

On sucessful completion of this additional semester at Católica-Lisbon (30 ECTS credits), you will then be awarded a second International MSc in Business Administration. This is based on the credit recognition principle.

The LUMS dissertation will be also recognised as a part of the MSc degree in Business Administration in Católica-Lisbon, and you will be required to present on the topic of your LUMS dissertation topic to a Católica-Lisbon academic panel.

All studies are carried out in English.

Costs

Tuition fees are payable for the additional semester at at Católica-Lisbon (3,500 EURO for 2013 entry)*

Students will also need to cover related living costs, health insurance and visa applications.
