Duration and timing: 24 hours, Summer Term

Overview

This multidisciplinary module aims to give you a critical and practical understanding of the significance of management — its place in the contemporary world — in terms of social and ethical responsibility, global development and the relationship between management practices and the environment.

The rationale of the module is that managers and leaders of the future must be equipped with analytical frameworks and the practical ability to integrate the ethical, social, developmental and ecological implications of management strategies and practices. As such, this module aims to highlight the major current and emergent issues that managers face, with a view to examining and analysing assumptions, strategies and consequences of management at a global scale.
