I chose to study at LUMS because it is one of the highest-rated management schools in the country, with an excellent record in outstanding teaching quality, student satisfaction and leading research. In addition, the Marketing department offers one of the UK’s best specialised marketing degree schemes, including an industrial placement year – something I deem vital in both building practical understanding of the subject and gaining much-needed experience in the field to boost career prospects post-graduation.

The BSc Marketing Management degree developed my understanding of key marketing and managerial academic principles, whilst also challenging me to critique this through the use of engaging case studies, a real business consultancy project, and a 12-month industrial placement. The scheme also offered me the flexibility to pursue specific subject areas that interested me most, the result being a strong feeling of satisfaction and readiness to meet the challenges of the dynamic business world.

As part of my degree, I completed a challenging and fulfilling 12-month industrial placement at Johnson & Johnson. This involved working in the marketing department and providing support to a senior brand manager, leading projects for some of the UK’s top skincare brands.

Now that I have graduated, I have returned to Johnson & Johnson to take up a graduate position within the marketing department.
