Country of origin: Mexico
Marketing Manager, Heineken
Having a professional career in market intelligence after studying for a BA in Marketing in one of the top universities in Mexico, I decided to complement my marketing expertise by entering a postgraduate programme in the UK.
After being accepted in two universities, Kingston and Lancaster, I ended up choosing the Advanced Marketing Management MSc because, in my opinion, this programme offered a perfect balance between theory and practice, addressing the key elements for marketing management practice.
The programme ended up being very challenging and satisfying, offering me the opportunity to work together with people from all over the world, build up professional relationships and gain international experience.
After completing the programme, I was awarded a bursary by Lancaster University Management School to enter the European and International Business Management Diploma programme at Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao, Spain.
This whole experience has allowed me to grow both areas, personal and professionally, forging a strong career as a market intelligence specialist and as a subjective and innovative leader.
I went to work at the Nielsen Company in Mexico City for a year. I was in charge of the Nielsen Store Observation area, working together and offering market intelligence solutions to several blue-chip multinational companies, such as Colgate-Palmolive, Procter & Gamble, Nestlé, Mars and Coca-Cola, among others.
I am currently a Marketing Manager for Heineken in Mexico.
