Marketing Lecture Series
Are you interested in learning more about Marketing as a subject and experiencing a little of what university studies will be like? If so, then come along to our Marketing Lecture Series, running throughout October and November 2017 at the Work Foundation in London.
You can attend either all three sessions, or just one.
Lecture One : Introduction to Marketing (A Lecture Simulation)
Thursday 12th October 2017: This session provides an Introduction to Marketing, with focus on the area of Consumer Behaviour through a simulated lecture format. This will enable students to not only understand and appreciate Marketing as a discipline, but also to gain perspective on what to expect from a Marketing lecture here at Lancaster.
Lecture Two: Putting Marketing into Practice (A Seminar Simulation)
Thursday 23rd November 2017: This second session looks at how you put Marketing into practice in the real-world. By merging theory and case studies together, this interactive session simulates a seminar experience, placing students in groups and asking them to offer Marketing solutions to case companies. In short, students gain the opportunity to put Marketing theory into real-world practice, a crucial skill that is privileged here at Lancaster.
Lecture Three: Marketing in the Workplace – The Real-World Application of Marketing
Thursday 30th November 2017: Having understood the theoretical and practical applications of Marketing through lecture and seminar simulations, in this final session we aim to show how a Marketing degree can be applied in a workplace setting. We have invited along prior and current students to share their personal experiences of placements, graduate careers, and reflections on how their Marketing degrees are instrumental in the workplace.
