LUMS academic speaks at prestigious event hosted by the Prince of Wales

Jeffrey Unerman

Professor Jeffrey Unerman, of the Department of Accounting and Finance, was recently invited to the Accounting for Sustainability summit hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales at St James’s Palace to celebrate the positive impact of The Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S).

In front of an audience including HRH The Prince of Wales, Mark Carney, and more than 200 senior finance professionals, Professor Unerman read an excerpt from a testimonial letter he wrote demonstrating the impact of the A4S project. This testimonial was one of 70 letters compiled into a book and presented to the Prince of Wales to mark his 70th birthday.

Professor Unerman said “I first became involved with A4S in December 2008 and have been impressed with the impact it has had on the development and uptake of cutting-edge accounting practices embedding sustainability considerations into organizational decision-making. It was an honour to be asked to present a testimonial of this significant impact to the Prince of Wales at this prestigious event.”

The letters have been published on the A4S website and more information on the project is available here.
