COACHING@Lancaster is an ILM Accredited programme that presents a unique opportunity to develop the fundamental skills required to begin coaching at Lancaster and to enhance your skills in your current role.

The COACHING@Lancaster programme aims to:

  • Equip managers and leaders with the skills, knowledge and ethical understanding required to deliver effective coaching.
  • Create an internal bank of coaches, thus broadening the availability of coaching as an effective development activity to a wider range of staff at the University.
  • And to develop a coaching culture in the University where managers and leaders are able to provide effective support for the development of others and enhance performance and motivation

    Who is it for?

    The programme is designed for Academic and Professional staff who have the desire and commitment to develop others through coaching. It is particularly relevant to managers and leaders who wish to embed coaching practice in their roles.

  • What's involved

    What's involved

    What's involved?:

    • Programme induction (½ day)
    • Workshops (4 x 1 day)
    • Coaching practice sessions (3 x ½ day)
    • 12 hours coaching practice with coaching clients
    • Individual tutorial sessions
    • 2 practice based assignments

     

    Participants are also required to commit to up to 10 hours per year coaching as part of the internal bank of coaches.
