LEADER@Lancaster recognises that leaders are found across the University in different roles and at different levels. The programme aims to challenge, inspire and empower participants through a range of development activities that will equip them to develop as a leadership community.

Please ensure that you have full agreement from your line manager before applying for this programme, there is a significant time commitment, both to attend the workshops and of your own time to complete the (mandatory) assignments.

There is an optional Project Management Workshop and Assignment which can be completed either as stand alone ILM Unit or as part of the Leader@Lancaster Programme

If you are looking to develop your management skills then you may like to consider Stepping into Managment workshop, or our certificated MANAGER@Lancaster, designed for managers with operational line management responsibilities for staff, typically (but not exclusively) aimed towards managers in grades 5 - 7/8 and is appropriate for both Professional and Academic staff.

    Do you lead a defined area of work, activity or project that requires you to delegate to others who are not necessarily in your team? Does your role require you to influence others across your department, faculty or the institution? If you answer yes to these questions, the LEADER@Lancaster programme is likely to be appropriate.

    The programme is typically (but not exclusively) aimed towards leaders in grades 7 and 8.

    ‌Please ensure that you are available for all the programme dates before submitting your application (signed by your line manager). Places will be confirmed within 10 days after the application deadline and shortlisting has been undertaken.

    The closing date for applications is the 29th November 2017.
