Rodney Irwin, Managing Director of Redefining Value at WBCSD and Honorary Teaching Fellow at the Pentland Centre

I see a great value for WBCSD Leadership Program participants to have the opportunity to obtain an international recognized qualification from the renowned Lancaster University. Our participants can use the learnings gained during the Program and have their experiences accredited. They can continue to enhance their knowledge on sustainable development with a relevant and meaningful online study.”

Suzanne Feinmann, WBCSD Education Manager

To be awarded the Postgraduate Certificate, participants who have had their work on the WBCSD Leadership Program accredited simply have to complete an applied project focusing on Sustainable Leadership in their own organisation. This will give you the opportunity to apply and develop your learning into practice and make a further impact. There are also the options to undertake further modules (including electives on topics such as Leading Others Through Change and Models for Planning Change and Improvement) to receive a Postgraduate Diploma or a Masters degree. Work-based learning is the focus throughout, as you apply your knowledge to directly benefit your organisation.

This Professional Practice programme has been co-developed with the Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business at Lancaster University, a world-class hub for transdisciplinary research on sustainability. The Centre’s mission is to connect the best minds in science with the best minds in business in order to scale up solutions for sustainability. Lancaster University Management School is a quadruple-accredited business school, ranked number 1 in the world for Corporate Strategy by the Financial Times 2018. In the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014), Lancaster University Management School was ranked top business school in the UK for 'research power', with 80% of our research activity judged to be world-leading or internationally excellent.
