Welcome a chroeso

Philip Jonathan is an applied statistician, currently head of Shell's Statistics and Chemometrics group, and Honorary Fellow in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Lancaster.

At Lancaster, I'm working with: Jonathan Tawn and Yanyun Wu on developments in extreme value analysis; with Paul Fearnhead, Jonathan Tawn and Monika Kereszturi on modelling spatial and temporal variation in extremes; and with Jonathan Tawn, Emma Eastoe, David Randell and Elena Zanini on improved modelling of large-scale non-stationary extremes.

My current interests include extreme value analysis for ocean engineering applications, Bayesian methods for monitoring of large systems in time, and inversion methods in remote sensing. I'm also interested in multivariate methods generally, particularly in application to physical systems.
