Christian Rohrbeck is an EPSRC funded Research Associate at Lancaster University. His research considers the development of dependence models for functions, in particular, in the context of monotonic regression. He was awarded the EPSRC Prize of the Faculty of Science and Technology at Lancaster University for 2016/2017. Christian completed his PhD titled "Statistical Methods for Weather-related Insurance Claims" in December 2016 at the STOR-i Centre for Doctoral Training at Lancaster University and was supervised by Deborah Costain, Jonathan Tawn, Emma Eastoe and Arnoldo Frigessi. Prior to joining STOR-i as a MRes student in October 2012, he received a Diploma (M.Sc. equivalent) in Mathematics with direction to Scientific Computing at the Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg.
