How to Apply
With the exception of our OpenPlus scheme, all applications must be made through UCAS for all of our degree courses, whether for entry to year 1 or direct entry to year 2.
Please bear in mind that applications for entry to Lancaster in Autumn 2016 should ideally be made between 1 September 2016 and 15 January 2016. If you're applying from outside the EU, application deadlines and other procedures are more flexible, so please read the advice from UCAS carefully.
Our typical entry requirements are described in our section on Physics entry requirements and also on our pages for each specific degree scheme. We recommend that you consult a copy of the Physics Undergraduate Prospectus before completing your application. You may also wish to consult the University Prospectus, available from the University's Admissions Office.
We believe our campus is one of our strengths and encourage you to visit us before you make your final choice of where to study. You can come and visit us at one of the University Open days during the summer, or book onto one of Lancaster University's campus tours.
After Making Your Application
When we receive your application, we'll check to see if you are likely to be qualified for the course for which you are applying. We may invite you to visit Lancaster for an interview and guided tours of our Department and the campus.
We hold UCAS Interview Days on Wednesdays during our teaching terms.
