First Year PhD - 2012/2013
Poster on "Detecting thresholds in time series data using changepoint detection methods". - This poster was presented at the 2012 SciTech Christmas Conference (18/12/12) and again at the 2013 STOR-i Workshop (10/01/13).
MRes Year - 2011/2012
Last year I completed my MRes, below you can find some of the work which I have submitted as part of this.
PhD Proposal - The final part of the masters year combines a dissertation with a PhD proposal. This is my proposal plan on "Efficient Analysis of Complex Changepoint Models".
Long Project Report - As part of STOR601 we were asked to produce a report on a Stats/OR topic of our choice. Here is my report on "Using Wavelets in a Two-Dimensional Context".
Long Project Presentation - As part of STOR601 we were asked to give a presentation on a Stats/OR topic of our choice. Here is the slides from my presentation on "Using Wavelets in a Two-Dimensional Context".
Short Project Report - As part of STOR601 we were asked to write a short 5-6page report on an area from the module, here is my report on comparing simulation techniques.
Short Project Poster - This is the academic poster created, also on comparing simulation techniques, as part of the short project.
Group Website - As part of the STOR601 module we had to produce a group website on an area covered by the STOR601 module. George, Emma and I produced a website on how Operational Research is used in the Healthcare industry.
STOR-i Internship 2010
Over the summer of 2010 I took part in the STOR-i internship scheme. I undertook research into "The Change Making Problem". This is a classic optimisation problem which is part of the knapsack class of integer linear programmes.
