We are a unique, interdisciplinary department bringing together almost 40 academic staff in three subject areas: Politics and international relations, philosophy and religious studies.
Politics, Philosophy and Religion offers a wide range of undergraduate degree schemes, including single honours (one subject), joint honours (two subjects) and combined honours (three subjects) both within the department and with other departments in the University. Our degrees are designed to be flexible, allowing students to combine different subjects, and, if appropriate, to change their degree programme at the end of the first year.
Our degrees focus upon the central questions of politics and international relations that have shaped the modern world.Politics & International Relations
We approach questions not only through the history of philosophy but also in terms of contemporary philosophical discussion of a wide range of important and relevant topics.Philosophy
