Our aim is to provide a warm caring and safe environment for your child and to develop their abilities by using play and planned activities for all age ranges. This year, Lancaster University’s Pre-School Centre celebrates 30 years since its official opening by HRH Princess Alexandra, former Chancellor of the University.

Strengthening the roots of biodiversity across our campus

This autumn has seen the implementation of a number of nature-based solutions to improve biodiversity and support the fight against climate change across our campus. By taking action to create resilient and complete ecosystems of plants, animals, and insects, we can support local wildlife, and harness the richness of nature to create areas for wellbeing and mindfulness.

myHappymind Bronze Accreditation for Lancaster University Pre-School

Lancaster University Pre-School Centre has been awarded the myHappymind Bronze Accredited Nursery. The accreditation identifies that staff, children and parents of the Centre have created a culture that helps build resilience, confidence and self-esteem in themselves and the children they care for through the myHappymind programme.

myHappymind Accredited Nursery

We are proud to announce that we are a myHappymind Bronze Accredited Nursery!

This means that as a school we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our children as one of our top priorities. We have created a culture that helps build our children's resilience, confidence and self esteem as well as teaching them how to self regulate in those stressful times.

This Accreditation badge has been awarded thanks to all the effort our staff, children and parents have put into bringing myHappymind to life all around our setting!

When Eden Bear came to visit

As part of the Eden Project North, a teddy bear named Eden Bear paid us a visit. The children were delighted to hear that Eden Bear was going to visit them and over a period of 10 days the children took the bear exploring, showing it around campus and the local area.
