Still number one

We're delighted to be able to confirm that we have held on to the title of Best University Halls for the sixth year running in the National Student Housing Survey, and we are extremely grateful to all our residents for continuing to endorse our accommodation so positively. Summer vacation 2015

Lancaster University students looking for campus accommodation for summer 2015 can now apply to stay in Furness College for all or part of the vacation. See our Vacation Residence page for more details and to download an application form.


Postgraduates may apply to stay in Graduate College for the summer. Graduate College Residence Office will contact all students on 40 week contracts after Easter with more information.

Student Experience Survey

Lancaster has been ranked 15th in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey. The results of the survey rank universities according to 21 separate measures based on answers from almost 14,700 undergraduate students across the UK. In three of the measures we are in the top five - 'good accommodation', 'good security', and personal requirements catered for.

Whatuni Student Choice Awards

Lancaster University has been nominated for a Whatuni Student Choice Award, in the category of 'Best Accommodation'. These nominations are made based on over 20,000 student reviews over the last 12 months, and as ever we are grateful to our residents for their positive endorsement! The winner will be announced on 23 April.

Ash House refurbishment
