We're delighted to be able to confirm that we have held on to the title of Best University Halls for the fifth year running in the National Student Housing Survey, and we are extremely grateful to all our residents for continuing to endorse our accommodation so positively. We have now started to contact incoming undergraduates inviting them to apply for college membership and accommodation. Keep an eye on the email account you have registered with UCAS for details. The initial communication has been with all students that have already accepted a place at Lancaster. If you accept a place now you can expect us to contact you within a week inviting you to apply. Lancaster University Accommodation has been recognised in the Best Student Housing category by professional association CUBO (College & University Business Officers), in recognition of our continued success in student surveys, customer service developments and continued improvement of our estate. The winner will be announced in July. More information on the awards can be found on the CUBO website .
County College will be hosting Vacation Residence this summer, and is open to all Lancaster students who want to stay for all or part of the summer. You can get full details and downloadable forms from the Vacation Residence web page.
All Colleges have now met their target for returning students in 2014/15, and are managing a waiting list. If you would like to discuss your options, please do go and see your Residence Officer. The University also manages Chancellor's Wharf in the city centre, on the banks of the Lancaster Canal, and there are still vacancies here for individuals and groups in a variety of flats. To apply for room at Chancellor's Wharf, simply log into the Accommodation Portal and proceed from there.
New students coming to Lancaster in October will be contacted in the summer to arrange their accommodation.
Major refurbishment work to reconfigure the iconic Bowland Tower and its surrounding wings, was completed in December, with students moving in to their new rooms this month.
