What is the Doctorate Extension?
The Doctorate Extension is an extension to a Tier 4 visa for PhD students to remain within the UK for 12 months after completing the PhD in order to gain work experience or find a permanent job. If you are interested in applying for this extension and you satisfy the eligibility criteria above, download an application pack from here. This contains:
Please fill in the CAS request form and the Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Agreement and send to email@example.com or hand it in at the Base.
When we receive this we will issue you with a CAS and contact you to offer you help with your visa application.
Can my immediate family apply as my dependants under the Tier 4 (Doctorate Extension)?
Yes. The Doctorate Extension is Tier 4 and works in the same way as other Tier 4 extensions.
