MSc Cyber Security Scholarship
Lancaster University is calling for applications for a partial-scholarship towards tuition fees for the MSc in Cybersecurity degree programme run by the Security Lancaster Research Institute and the School of Computing & Communications. Applicants must have secured a place to study for the programme in the academic year of 2017-18. We expect to make awards in the range of £100 to £5000. The lesser the amount requested to cover any shortfall, the higher the chance of allocation, so please only ask for exactly what you require. Maintenance expenses are not supported by this scheme. Deadline for applications is 04 August 2017 1pm BST (strictly no extensions!). Applicants will be informed of the result before 21st August by email. Unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted and further feedback will not be available. Note1: Evidence of maternity/paternity leave could consist of a birth-certificate of your child stating your name as a parent, or a doctor’s note. In case of work related career break, give proof of employment with last employer and state your employment record including periods of break.
Note 2: Evidence of career transition for those in current employment should be a letter/email from your employer that states your present area of work. For students, the last academic degree in a non-CS area (eg. Sociology/Psychology) is acceptable evidence. If you started work exclusively in cybersecurity only in the last one year and still consider yourself as being in transition, please provide evidence of working in a different area from your employer relating to the period from a year ago.
