Graduation Day reception

Next Wednesday (12 December) sees this year's graduation ceremony for postgraduates in the faculty. A reception for staff, graduands and their guests will be held at 2.15pm in the LEC atrium before the ceremony. Please come and congratulate the graduands!

Christmas Conference 2007

Don't forget to keep Tuesday 18 December clear in your diaries for the SciTech Christmas Conference. Keynote lectures will be given by Professor Swapan Chattopadhyay, Director of The Cockroft Institute who will be talking on the topic of Beams: Inner and Outer Dimensions! and Roger Kemp from the Engineering Department who will be talking on Transport Energy - Research in the Political Spotlight.

The day will also include a poster session at which 40 posters from across the faculty will be displayed and there will be talks from all departments. Arrive at 9.00am in the George Fox building for coffee and pastries!

Don't forget that Kate Jolley is available each Tuesday and Thursday in the faculty office (Room C28, Engineering Building) for confidential advice sessions with anyone who manages staff. To make an appointment on any HR-related matter, please email Kate.
