The Faculty of Science and Technology's annual summer Taster Day is an opportunity for year 12 students to get an insight into the courses available at Lancaster University.

The day will give students an idea of university life and what it's like to study science and technology subjects.

Departments likely to be involved include Maths and Statistics, Biological Sciences, Geography, Environmental Science, Physics, Psychology, Computing, Communication Systems and Engineering.

The day is aimed specifically at those students who are interested in these subject areas and how they would be taught at University.

During the one day event the students will attend a series of short lectures, practical workshops and have the opportunity to talk informally to staff and students from the various departments.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided for the students and staff who attend.
