LEC Business Breakfast Club - Is Cloud Computing The Future?

Following on from the success of LEC's first Business Breakfast Club the next meeting will feature keynote speaker Peter Dickman from Google Switzerland who will be discussing cloud computing and associated security issues.

Professor Phil Haygarth from LEC will explain how the use of cloud computing on the DEFRA Test Catchment project at Lancaster University has been of benefit and Karl Hylands from SRS Consulting Ltd will describe how they have been using cloud computing to develop new products and services.

The club meets every 6 weeks and includes guest speakers, networking opportunities and 1-to-1 support from internal and external advisors. Each session has a different theme with the programme building throughout 2011, both an external and internal speaker will talk about each topic and how it relates to business finishing with a local company explaining how the topic has helped to grow/develop their business.
