Back by popular demand, the Accelerator Programme is now being run in Merseyside on the topic of Social Media Technologies. Follow this event on twitter using #SMTech12

This is a 3 part series of events run on Monday 27th February, Monday 5th March and Monday 12th March 2012, each focusing on a different element of social media. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, the use of video, strategy, implementation and the technologies behind social media will be covered by a variety of specialist presenters.

David T. Guest, Workshop Media

Workshop Media is a video marketing company based in Lancashire in the North West of England, combining the skills of video production with the marketing principles of business to business communication. David T. Guest is Managing Director of Workshop Media. He is a Lancaster University Alumni with a 2:1 BA Honours in Culture, Media and Communication and takes charge of the strategic and tactical actions that underpin the content Workshop Media produce to ensure that the goals of the content are met.

Andrew Greenyer BSc, DipM, FIDM, C.Math. MIMA, ACIM Director, Raise the Roof Marketing

Andrew now runs a SME Marketing Consultancy, Raise the Roof Marketing, specialising in digital marketing techniques. Previously he was Head of Marketing and IT for Business Link Northwest, providing business support and information services to SMEs.

After graduating from the University of London in 1983, with an Upper Second in Mathematics, he joined the Royal Mail in their Direct Marketing Department, during this period Andrew obtained a Diploma in Marketing.

Having worked as a consultant at Pinpoint Analysis, Client Services Manager at ICD, Andrew moved up to the North West in 1992 to head up the Analytical Services Division for The Database Group. In 2000 Andrew joined Group 1 Software as Director of Customer Relationship Solutions, subsequently becoming VP International Marketing.

Andrew is also a Fellow of The Institute of Direct Marketing, a Member of the Institute of Mathematics, a North West Regional Board member for the CIM, and is a regular conference speaker and Guest University Lecturer.

Linda Merrills, Inovaris

Linda has extensive and broad experience in positions at Apple UK, Jaguar and Business Link. Linda has a proven track record with the use of social meda, the technologies behind it and the practicalities of using it as a marketing tool. This is backed up with working knowledge of app development, IT and emerging technologies.

Delegate eligibility:

Companies already having received assistance via the ISIS Project are unable to attend this series of workshops and in order to be eligible for the 2012 Accelerator Programme; delegates must fulfil the broader ISIS Project eligibility criteria: (see www.infolab21.lancs.ac.uk/business/isis/eligibility.php).

In addition to this, the nature of the funding being used means these workshops are primarily aimed at Merseyside companies and preference will be given to eligible Merseyside companies.

Delegates taking part in the Accelerator Programme must commit to attending all 3 workshops in order to be eligible. Due to the nature of the funding used to run these workshops, priority must be given to Merseyside-based companies that employ 5 or more members of staff.
