Evaluate the Arvia Organics Destruction Cell (ODC) for the removal of persistent organic micro-pollutants

‌‌

1 Year Industry-led funded Masters by Research:

Arvia has developed an award winning, patented technology of adsorption coupled with electrochemical regeneration to remove and destroy aqueous organic pollutants. A Masters project is available to demonstrate its performance through the removal of a range of organic micro-pollutants. It will involve developing analytical methods and based on the results, the candidate will be encouraged to propose possible degradation pathways and the underlying mechanism of destruction.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates, who want to apply their know-how in a challenging technical environment. Applicants should have a good first degree in an appropriate discipline and preferably experience on analytical instruments.

Industry Partner

The Masters Project will be supervised by Lancaster University and Arvia Technology Limited. Arvia supplies advanced tertiary wastewater treatment systems to remove recalcitrant organics (COD) as well as remove colour and persistent organic micro-pollutants such as emerging contaminants, endocrine disruptors and carcinogenic compounds to ensure water quality is compliant with local wastewater discharge regulations or perfect for water reuse.
