Industrial Collaboration using £300,000 EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account Funding
Lancaster University has received an additional £300,000 the funds as an extension of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) – which has already allocated £600,000 to more than 70 industrial partners for collaborative projects.
Double the value of your R&D spend with projects up £50,000
SMEs looking to develop new products and willing to invest in research and development can get more than double the value of their funds through the scheme.
IAA can be used for a range of collaboration, including seed funding for research focussing on clear commercial exploitation of new products or services, facilities use, and secondments. As the funding is from the EPSRC, projects must match their remit, and cover disciplines such as chemistry, computing & communications, engineering, mathematics and physics.
The University will help businesses bridge the gap between the lab and marketplace by sourcing expertise and paying half the project costs for projects up £50,000. The University is also waving overhead fees, so the support for businesses is worth more than 75 per cent of the project costs.
