Solid-state NMR at Lancaster
Professor David Middleton, Department of Chemistry, Lancaster University
Wednesday 15 January 2014, 1400-1500
Cavendish Colloquium Room
Chemistry at Lancaster will soon be establishing a solid-state NMR facility to support research and teaching. This seminar will give an introduction to solid-state NMR spectroscopy and describe some of the ways in which this technique can benefit the physical and biological sciences. I will highlight examples of translational research in which solid-state NMR has guided the design of molecules and materials for novel applications.
