Sustainability Executive - Crowberry Consulting

This internship is part funded by Santander.

The aim of this internship is to support the MD on Environmental Consultancy projects including customer training, legal updates and various sustainability related topics: including support to ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 20121 and Ethical Management projects.

This internship would give a good grounding as to the reality of working for a sustainability consultancy and give the opportunity to get involved in client facing work, attend networking events on behalf of the company and get a good understanding of the business value chain.

Crowberry Consulting Ltd has a sister organisation Crowberry Energy a social enterprise that upsells renewable technologies such as solar, led and voltage optimisation. This role will involve provided support in the form of attending meetings with suppliers

Role and responsibilities of intern:

Research and updates to environmental legal registers – training will be provided on the sources.
Attending local networking events – transport will be provided.
Supporting the MD on client facing sustainability projects both on site with the MD and back of house.
Attending meetings with our suppliers.
General Research into environment, energy, ethical and sustainability matters.

Responsibilities of host organisation:

Ensure that appropriate training and health and safety advice is given, provide intern with key information relevant to their work tasks.
We can provide a desk, and laptop if required – most students have their own laptop.
We can provide a timeline and project management chart to show the key milestones, deliverables of the project.

Training and induction to be provided:

Provide the intern with laptop/mobile phone access, ensure intern is introduced to key members of staff, provide company overview.
We have a full induction process as part of our ISO 9001 system.
We have Cyber Essentials standard and have a social media policy in place, this includes data privacy and protecting customer information.

This internship is part-funded by banking group Santander, and is for 10 weeks (350 hours).

Skills required

Ability to work in a small friendly team.
Ability to use all Microsoft applications.
Research skills.
Good all round communication skills including listening.
Time management and be able to stick to the project timelines.
