BEXP Analysis Software Developer

Lancaster Materials Analysis (LMA) is a company specialising in the cross-sectional analysis of semiconductor devices via microscopy techniques. These devices, such as lasers, solar cells, transistors and detectors, can contain hundreds of layers. Current methods of analysing images can be incredibly time consuming as small scale structures must be identified manually rather than automatically via software. LMA therefore wishes to develop software in order to automate much of the analysis process. This could involve either (a) modifying existing software to better facilitate the company’s needs, or (b) developing entirely new software. The intern will be expected to document their work so that it can be followed by LMA’s company officers.
