Administrative Assistant

An Administration Assistant is required to work in the Security Lancaster research centre for the period leading up to March.
Duties of this post will include leading on cleansing the research profiles of the academics related to the centre on the university's PURE system and the centre's website, and assisting in the preparations for the forthcoming External Advisory Board meeting.
Information on the research and publications produced by the staff have been largely managed separately from the university's PURE system, resulting in a significantly increased effort in maintaining two sets of identical information. The PURE system maintains a record of all academic output including publications, projects, public activities and external links. In order to move accurately to PURE the academic back history must be appropriately assigned to the system.
This move will then enable the current Security Lancaster website to dynamically draw research output information directly from PURE. This work is being done in preparation for evaluation of Security Lancaster by an external advisory board to be held in mid-March. The intern will also help in the preparation and collation of material from PURE and other sources for presentation to the board at the time.

Interviews are likely to take place during the week beginning 13th January 2014, the first week of term.
