Judging was carried out by a panel of independent business experts, first based on a written entry, from which finalists were selected, and followed by finalists giving a short presentation and interview. The judges then made their decisions, and winners were announced at an event held in Blackpool's Winter Gardens, where over a thousand Lancashire business representatives were present.
