Prof Nick Hewitt (LEC) visits Buckingham Palace
Professor Nick Hewitt (Lancaster Environment Centre) has been invited to a Reception at Buckingham Palace on 8th December. The Reception is being given by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh to mark the centenary of Captain Robert Scott's final expedition to the South Pole. The Reception is to recognise the accomplishments of those involved in exploration and adventure in pursuit of achievement, research or education.

Professor Roger Jones has replaced Professor Peter Ratoff as Head of the Physics Department. Roger gained a PhD studying neutrino interactions at CERN and Fermilab before starting his career at CERN working at the Large Electron-Positron (LEP) Collider.
