Learning comes alive with Tourism Centre

The ALIVE (Aspiring Leaders in the Visitor Economy) programme run by the Tourism Centre has been hailed as a great success by those participating in this new ground-breaking development. The programme was aimed at owners and managers in the visitor economy to help them develop their leadership skills and introduce an empowering and different approach to business culture into their everyday activities. Funded by the Northern Leadership Academy, the programme was a joint initiative between the Lancaster Environment Centre and the Lancaster University Management School.

At a series of one-day events, delegates came together to be inspired by people from inside and outside the visitor economy, with motivational insights into their path to success. Delegates were challenged to become more aware of their own capabilities and their own opportunities for development.
