Dr Corina Sas
Dr Corina Sas is a lecturer in Computing Department at Lancaster University with research and teaching interests in the area of Human-Computer Interaction. She has developed and taught various courses ranging from first year undergraduate to Masters level. Since 2006 she acted as course director for the Master by Research Programme in Human Computer Interaction.
She coordinates DESIRE (2008-2012) - EU-funded network aiming to provide high quality research training programme for 13 PhD students in seven partner institutions (over £2m).
Apart from income generation in support of teaching, and significant contributions to teaching development programmes, Dr Sas has (co-)authored scholarly publications which are critical, reflective and evaluative of teaching in specialised educational forum, i.e. the HCIEducators Workshops.
In her teaching Dr Sas specifically encourages students’ development of research skills which are reflected in peer reviewed students’ publications at both undergraduate and Masters level.
