Biology with Psychology is designed for students who wish to gain an insight into the biological phenomena governing human behaviour. Students can tailor the course towards their own biological areas of interest and link these subjects to teachings on aspects of physiology and cognitive psychology. The degree provides students with a balanced mixture of scientific analytical skills and communication and interpersonal skills.
A level requirments are typically AAB to include two science A-levels from Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Maths/Psychology/ Geography/ Environmental Science/Computing/IT.
All candidates should have GCSE English language at grade C or above, or certain alternative English qualifications.
Candidates should also have a minimum of grade B in GCSE Mathematics or the equivalent. We will also consider 'Access' course Mathematics components.

Life science and psychology graduates from Lancaster have a very good employment record and pursue a wide range of careers. Whilst some of our graduates opt to undertake postgraduate study, such as a PhD or Masters degree, or to move into teaching, more than two thirds of our graduates enter jobs related to their degree. These include the pharmaceutical industry, hospital research and diagnostics, the food industry, forensic science and research institutes, for example. The remainder of our graduates take advantage of the transferable skills embedded in their degree providing a foundation for careers in other sectors including finance, management, marketing, information technology and communications.
