I am involved in the development of therapies for the preservation and restoration of sight. I have long term collaboration in this area with Kyoto Prefectural Medical University I am currently involved in several projects, listed below.
I am currently funded by the Wellcome Trust, the 3Rs, the BBSRC and the EPSRC. Research and graduate student positions are sometimes available in these research areas. I am also on the steering committee of the N8 Centre for Translational Regenerative Medicine which has recently received 2 million phase II funding.
Award of 2004 Daiwa Adrian prize as part of a four person international team working on Corneal Diseases, presented at the Royal Society on 25th November 2004.
Fellow of the Royal Microscopy Society.
