Laura RobertsonResearch Associate
I am currently a Research Associate in the Centre for Child and Family Justice Research on the Nuffield Foundation's Towards a Family Justice Observatory Scoping Study.
After graduating with a MSc in Public Policy from the University of Glasgow in 2012, I began a co-funded Scottish Government and Economic and Social Research Council PhD in Criminology examining the Whole System Approach to Youth Offending in Scotland. My PhD research explored practitioners' and policy actors’ perspectives of Early and Effective Intervention and Diversion from Prosecution multi-agency decision-making processes.
Alongside this, I have also gained related experience in policy, research and practice through internships at the Scottish Government and a third sector organisation, working on commissioned Scottish Government projects including the Scottish Crime and Justice Survey and volunteering with a young persons’ befriending service.
