The STOR-i Centre for Doctoral Training, in conjunction with the Data Science Institute's Distinguished Seminar Speaker series, are pleased to welcome Michael Blastland to deliver a lecture entitled, Honest Doubts - how should we think and talk about research uncertainty?
Join Michael Blastland, writer and broadcaster, originator of Radio 4’s More for Less, for a lecture on the limitations of understanding.
Michael Blastland has presented many programmes for BBC Radio including Analysis, The Inquiry, The Human Zoo, and Whodunnit, specialising in journalism about quantitative information and evidence.
He is the author, with Andrew Dilnot, of The Tiger that Isn’t, about interpreting numbers in the news; and The Norm Chronicles, about risk, written with David Spiegelhalter.
