Environmental Sustainability in Contemporary China

You will spend the second year of your degree abroad and will attend one of Lancaster’s prestigious partner universities. We believe that this immersive experience is the best way for you to learn about China and the challenges and opportunities the country is dealing with. Our team of academic and administrative staff will support you before and during the year abroad with information and advice to ensure that you get the maximum benefit and enjoyment from this exciting experience.

Non-Chinese speaking students

You will attend one of our partner universities in China, where you will continue to learn Chinese and take other modules that are taught in English. At the time of writing (June 2018) our partner universities include Beijing Foreign Studies University, South China University of Technology, and Sun Yat-sen University. You will be eligible to apply for a bursary to cover your living costs while attending a Chinese university.

Depending on your specialist area, examples of modules you might take at the partner university include:

-Western Civilisation with Chinese Comparisons

-Asia Pacific Comparative-Management

-Environment and Society in Asia

Native Mandarin Chinese speaking students

You will attend one of our partner universities in Europe, Australia, Canada or the US where you learn more about how China is understood from other countries, and broader perspectives of internationalisation. You will take specialist modules that are taught in English. At the time of writing (June 2018) our partner universities include Victoria University, New Zealand; Australia National University, Australia; La Trobe University, Australia.
