Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is a European Union programme which supports students studying or working in the EU/EEA.  Lancaster University has many Erasmus+ partners and sends over 150 students to study or work in the EU each year.  Your Departmental Erasmus+ Adviser will be able to advise you on how a placement can form a part of your degree and where you can go.

Erasmus+ placements typically take the form of a year or term abroad in the second or third year of your undergraduate degree although there are also opportunities for postgraduate students in some departments.  To qualify for an Erasmus+ grant, you must study abroad for a minimum of three months or work abroad for a minimum of two months.  Placements are not available to first year students.

Information about Erasmus+ grants for work or study placements can be found on the Funding your Work or Study Placement page and you will find more detailed information about the Erasmus+ Programme here. If you have other questions, please contact the International Office’s Erasmus+ Team.

Please read Lancaster University’s Erasmus+ Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), our European Policy Statement (European Policy Statement) and the Erasmus Student Charter (European Student Charter).
